Although launched less than six months ago, checkMD.com has firmly etched their position in the “medical ratings website” marketplace. According to compete.com, which triangulates multiple data sources to estimate U.S. traffic, in February checkMD saw an increase in traffic of 19.5%, while a number of major competitors saw decreases in traffic ranging from 4% to 12%.
Since its launch nearly five months ago, consumers have flocked to checkMD.com to find the most comprehensive online information on doctors, hospitals and pharmacies. Now, they will be able to research and find dentists in the same way with checkMD’s new dentist research tool.
As more and more people begin their search for a dentist on the Internet, there is no better time for savvy dental marketers to increase their online visibility.
checkMD, an online social network and healthcare information resource, today released the results of a new poll indicating the correlation between increasing healthcare costs and more infrequent doctor visits.
Specific information like insurance and credit cards accepted, pricing, languages spoken, hospital affiliations, and discounts, coupons and special offers can be added, all which helps simplify a consumer’s physician choice.
Pharmacies can then target and directly interact with consumers, thereby building a trusting relationship.
