Get real Jon. Do a little research and then tell the families afflicted by those with the diseases you quote if they wished that upon themselves. Even if their lifestyles were conducive to these diseases, almost saying that they could have avoided what they had, therefore they deserve what they get, is not only narrow minded but simply ignorant. I don't think they can be blamed for having that disease when they are so young. Diabetes is now considered an "auto-immune" disease. **whenever I was hospitalized, I was charged for EVERY shot, EVERY aspirin, etc. In addition I was charged for the bottle they came in. THEN, I didn't get to bring that bottle home with me and the cycle continued for the next patient! How many times did the hospital get paid for that bottle of aspirin??? etc...... I now ask the nurse to bring me everything that I am charged for, all meds, lotions, kleenex, etc. Since I paid and my insurance paid for it in the long run.
